Admin: Knights in Interaction will host an online discussion about "St. Joseph," March 15, 5–6 p.m. Mountain Standard Time. You may submit a comment or question in advance, and it will be posted here when the discussion goes live.
Admin: It's now 5 p.m. Mountain Standard Time, and it's time to begin our discussion.
gogiants: What is a good way to celebrate/observe St. Joseph's Feast Day? I'd like to have a family activity or something like that.
Mike: Yes, what to do for this day ... Joseph is the patron saint of workers so some celebrate it as they would Labour Day. There are festive rituals revolving around St. Joseph in many cultures, as well. You might want to look into these, find one that resonates with your family and make it an annual tradition.
Becca J.: I like mike's idea and I going to google some Italian custums. my guess is there probably all about good food! (J is for Josephine! Daddy's a Joseph.) Thanks
Admin: An Italian friend of mine owns a restaurant in another state, and he used to (and may still) serve a free dinner to the public every year on St. Joseph's Day. (So there's an "Italian food" connection for you, Becca.) Maybe donating to a food bank or working at a soup kitchen (St. Joseph the Provider") would be a nice family tradition to start.
Becca J.: Thanks everybody.
Admin: It's now 6 p.m. in Wyoming, and it's time to bring our discussion to a close.
